Modern Elephant Grey uPVC Frames Transform this Redditch Home

Looking for new windows and doors in Redditch?
You're in the right place. Look at this fabulous transformation that we completed near you.
We were delighted to complete this recent double-glazing installation for our customers in Redditch, who wanted to refresh the appearance and performance of their property.
The project included replacing all of the existing windows and doors with REHAU uPVC systems finished in Elephant Grey, transforming the conservatory with a solid tiled roof and upgrading the fascia, soffits and guttering in black.
Our sales adviser spent time with the homeowners to make sure the new products would complement the property and work well together. All of the windows and doors were manufactured in our factory in Stratford-upon-Avon before our installers carried out the work on site.

Before the Installation of Modern New Windows
Before the project began, the home had older, dark brown uPVC windows and doors. While still functional, they had begun to look dated and did not provide the same levels of energy efficiency as modern glazing systems.
The conservatory roof was also due for an upgrade. Traditional glazed conservatory roofs often struggle with temperature control, making the room too warm in summer and cooler in winter. The homeowners wanted to improve comfort while also updating the overall appearance of the house.
Upgrading to REHAU uPVC Windows
The replacement windows were manufactured using REHAU uPVC profiles, known for their strength, reliability and excellent thermal performance. Modern multi-chamber frames combined with energy-efficient double glazing help retain warmth inside the home and improve overall comfort.
Our installers rose to the challenge of replacing every window and door while ensuring the new frames sat neatly within the existing brickwork. The result is a clean, precise finish that immediately improves the look of the property.
From Chamfered Frames to Flush Casement Windows
One of the biggest visual changes in this project was the move from traditional chamfered window frames to modern flush casement windows.
The original windows used a classic chamfered profile, which was common on many earlier uPVC installations and is still popular today. These frames sit slightly proud of the outer frame and have angled edges that create a more decorative appearance. While they were still in good condition, the chamfered style sits quietly, whereas the flush-fit style shouts design. The house looks as if it has more substance. If this house were put on the market, there is no doubt that the value would be substantially increased
For the replacement windows, the homeowners chose flush casement windows in REHAU uPVC. With this design, the opening sash sits level within the outer frame, creating a flatter and more streamlined appearance. The result is a cleaner, more architectural look that works particularly well to replicate timber windows, but works equally well on modern homes.
Finished in Elephant Grey, the new flush windows complement the brickwork beautifully and give the property a noticeably sharper and more contemporary feel. It is a subtle change in profile, but one that makes a real difference to the overall character of the house.

Double Glazed Porch Doors
We cannot claim credit for the design of these front porch doors. After considering a number of alternatives, the homeowners chose this layout as the best way to bring more natural light into the porch while still maintaining privacy and security.
The doors were manufactured using REHAU uPVC profiles and fitted with energy-efficient double glazing, helping to keep the entrance area warmer and more comfortable. The glazed panels allow plenty of daylight to pass through into the porch and hallway, making the entrance feel brighter and more welcoming. The change from lead to uPVC Georgian bars adds another modern touch.
Finished in the same Elephant Grey as the rest of the windows and doors, the porch doors tie in neatly with the rest of the installation and help create a consistent look across the front of the property
A Room to use All Year with a Solid Tiled Conservatory Roof
The conservatory transformation was another important part of the project. The original glazed roof was replaced with a solid tiled conservatory roof, creating a room that can now be enjoyed year-round.
From the outside, the new roof blends much more naturally with the main house, giving the conservatory the appearance of a permanent extension rather than a separate structure.
Fascia, Soffits and Guttering to Complete the Look
To finish the project, we also replaced the fascia boards, soffits and guttering with new uPVC roofline products finished in black. This detail helps frame the property and ties in nicely with the Elephant Grey windows and doors.
Modern roofline systems also require very little maintenance, so the homeowners can enjoy the clean appearance without worrying about repainting or ongoing upkeep.
A Complete Double Glazing Transformation in Redditch
Seeing the before and after images really highlights the difference this project has made. The new REHAU uPVC windows and doors, the solid conservatory roof and the upgraded roofline have completely refreshed the exterior of the home.
All the uPVC windows and doors were manufactured in our Stratford-upon-Avon factory and installed by our experienced team. We were unbelievably proud of our team and how hard they worked to produce a finished result that will be the envy of anyone who drives past this house in Redditch
