Terms & Conditions (Retail)

Prior Products Ltd. Terms and Conditions - April 2023

  1. This agreement is binding for both parties and cannot be cancelled unless under conditions specified in points 2 and 3.
  2. If a customer wishes to terminate the agreement after a 7-day cooling-off phase, Prior Products Ltd. may, at its discretion, approve the cancellation if compensated by the customer for any incurred costs up until the termination date.
  3. The company may annul the agreement if, after reviewing a Surveyor's report and consulting with the customer, the company's technical staff concludes that satisfactory installation is unfeasible or the agreement does not reflect the actual work requirements.
  4. Payment for products is due upon delivery. For supply and installation, full payment or account balance is due upon completion. Issues like broken glass or damaged handles will be addressed under the warranty and cannot be reasons for withholding payment, unless previously agreed.
  5. The company can levy a 5% monthly interest on any remaining balance post-installation.
  6. Delivery time is approximated during order placement, and while the company strives to adhere to it, no compensation will be provided for delays or extended installations.
  7. The customer must accept delivery or enable installation once informed of product readiness. If no appointment is made within 28 days, the remaining purchase cost becomes due with interest accrued as per point 5.
  8. Post-delivery and pre-installation, product safety is the customer's responsibility. The company isn't liable for damage due to weather extremes.
  9. The company assures free repairs or replacements for faulty products caused by material or construction defects within a 10-year period from installation, excluding items in point 10. Claims must be written and within the warranty. Locking mechanisms, hinges, and metal moving parts have a 5-year guarantee. Cosmetic wear on handles is excluded from the warranty.

Warranty details:

a) Glass, roofline products, and woodgrain effect composite doors have a 5-year warranty.

b) Garage doors come with a 2-year warranty. Replacement parts and repairs have a 6-month guarantee.

c) Glass units with cat flaps have no warranty.

d) PVCu Woodgrain Effect panels have a 1-year warranty.

e) Handles, letterboxes, door knockers, locks, and related hardware have a 2-year warranty.

  1. No assurances are provided that our installations will eliminate condensation. For causes of condensation, refer to this link.
  2. All glass is of commercial standard; imperfections are only guaranteed by the glass manufacturer.
  3. Warranty applies to the contract's named customer. Transferring the warranty to a new property owner requires written notification and reduces its validity to 6 years from the installation date.
  4. Showroom samples demonstrate product quality and appearance. The company, aiming for continuous improvement, might modify products without prior notice. The company isn't responsible for pre-existing structural defects and may charge extra for unforeseen installation complexities.
  5. Customers are responsible for curtain and blind removal. Reusing existing windows or doors isn't guaranteed.
  6. Assembled frame dimensions might deviate ±3mm from surveyed sizes at 20°C, or ±4mm for frames with three or more joints.
  7. Pricing for new timber doesn't cover primer for softwood or preservative stain for hardwood.
  8. The company's liability is limited to the contract price and doesn't cover indirect damages resulting from product manufacturing or installation.
  9. Any damages during installation will be rectified by the company.
