Planning your conservatory

Thursday March 11, 2010 at 3:22pm

When planning how you would like your new conservatory to look, there are some things that need to be taken into consideration. Which way will your conservatory face? If it is south facing, you will need to think carefully about the type of roof you have on it. Heatguard polycarbonate is a good option as it reflects the sun and heat away, as is blue antisun if a glass roof is to be used

Other factors to be thought about could be whether you are likely to be overlooked by neighbours. Various options can be used for privacy including blinds, curtains or solid PVCu panels. Do you want the French doors at the front or side of the conservatory? By having them in the front wall, you create a traffic area straight through the conservatory, whereas by having them on the side allows more scope for positioning your furniture and decor.

All options will be presented to you during the initial design stage of your new conservatory, so that upon completion, you will have the dream garden room you always wanted.
